IVE shared a highlight medley from its upcoming mini album 'Looks Can Kill' through its official social media channels. The group, made up of An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Lay, Jang Won-young, Liz, and Leeseo, previewed part of the album's full tracklist. The album will be released on October 26.
What is the album's concept?
The album builds on IVE's earlier concepts, 'Cupid' and 'Magical Girl', and centers on 'girl hero' as its main theme. Rather than the traditional hero image, the message focuses on women who take charge of their own lives and can be the protagonists of their own stories.
Which songs are on the album?
The album contains six tracks in total:
| Track | Note | |---|---| | Looks Can Kill | Title track, pre-released October 19 | | Mirror Mirror | | | SNAKESKIN | | | CRUMBS | Lyrics by Gaeul and Liz | | Girls Girls Girls | | | Glow Motion | |
Lay contributed to the lyrics of the title track.
Who worked on the album?
Beyond the members, the credits include Korean musicians Kogaeng, Seo Ji-eum, Real Cherry, and Omega Sapien, as well as international pop artists Zara Larsson, Margo XS, and Cecile Believe.
When can fans listen to the full album?
The full album will be available on major music platforms at 6 p.m. Korean time on October 26. Before that, IVE promoted the release with a stage performance of the pre-released track and an event at the Spotify Dive Academy.
For international fans
IVE's previous releases 'Cupid' and 'Magical Girl' set the stage for this 'girl hero' theme, so the new album continues a series of concept-driven releases. Check your local time zone for the 6 p.m. Korean release.
