Samsung Securities' self-made AI girl group LUMINA is drawing attention after the music video for its debut song 'OVERRIDE' passed 2.5 million views on YouTube, according to the company's announcement on October 21. The video was released about a month earlier on the company's official YouTube channel.

What is LUMINA?

LUMINA is a four-member AI idol group created by Samsung Securities. The name comes from 'Luminous,' meaning shining. Its worldview holds that four members with different lights and personalities complete a single spectrum.

What does 'OVERRIDE' sound like?

The debut song combines sharp electronic sounds and fast techno rhythms with electronica and dance music.

Why is Samsung Securities using an AI idol?

The company said it plans to move away from using celebrity models and instead develop LUMINA as a digital communication asset. A company official said Samsung Securities handles real financial expertise while LUMINA delivers new inspiration, and that the group will be used to communicate more closely with future key customers.

For international fans

LUMINA is a virtual group rather than a human act, so fans can follow it through Samsung Securities' official YouTube channel. Details about future releases have not been announced in the source material.
