What did Jiyu release?

Kiki member Jiyu released a cover of BoA's classic 'Atlantis Princess' on October 31, according to her agency, Starship Entertainment. The video was posted on the agency's official YouTube channel.

Instead of the original's bright, dynamic energy, Jiyu takes a calm, lyrical approach. The video shows her singing alone in a space filled with green plants, with no choreography. Reviewers note that her clear tone and steady vocals give the song a dreamy mood.

Who is Jiyu outside of Kiki?

Jiyu has been active beyond music. Recently she served as a special MC for a music broadcast and appeared on Netflix's survival show 'Death Game 2: The Last Winner', where her clever gameplay drew attention. She is also currently working as a daily weather caster on JTBC's morning show 'Achim&'.

What is Kiki doing next?

Kiki recently held its first Japan fan concert, 'KiiiKiii FesTiiival JAPAN Edition'. The group also releases its self-produced content, 'Kiki Pang Pang', every Friday, and plans to meet global fans ahead of upcoming year-end stages.

For international fans

BoA is one of the most influential K-pop solo artists in Japan and beyond, so a cover of her song by a rising group member is likely to interest fans of both acts.
