## What is The Perfect Lie about?

The Perfect Lie is a psychological thriller built around a single question: one of its two leads is lying. The series is directed by Cho Young-min and written by Baek Jae-young. It marks the first project in ten years for Yoo Yeon-seok and Seo Hyun-jin, who play Min Jun-ho and Kang Ji-sun.

## How does the first episode unfold?

The story begins with a mix-up. Kang Ji-sun, an elementary school librarian, mistakes Min Jun-ho, a cardiac surgeon, for an author invited to speak to her students. He improvises a talk about the heart and leaves a strong impression. Later she learns he is the father of one of her students, and he asks her out. She first declines because of that connection, but the two eventually date.

Their first date goes well. After it, heavy rain forces Min Jun-ho to wait at Kang Ji-sun's home for about 40 minutes until a taxi arrives. The next morning he leaves for work happy, while Kang Ji-sun reports him to the police for sexual assault. Each character gives a different account of that night.
