What is the new tvN show about?

A new tvN variety show, Following Taste, Following the Road, Following Daemyung, premieres on October 23. Actor Kim Dae-myung runs a restaurant called Haepalang Sangheo along the Haepalang Trail, a hiking route on South Korea's East Coast. Actor Park Ji-hwan works as the barista, and Gong Myoung joins as the youngest staff member.

The show comes from producer Na Young-seok's team, which is known for Youn's Kitchen and other food-based reality programs, according to the network's announcement.

What happens in the first episode?

The premiere shows Kim Dae-myung and Park Ji-hwan walking the trail the day before the restaurant opens. They take in the sea views, look at roadside plants and play small pranks, such as swapping socks. Back at the restaurant, they organize ingredients and check each person's menu. Kim Dae-myung cooks dishes he learned from local favorites, and Park Ji-hwan juices fruit for drinks.

On opening day, they prepare early and set up water and first-aid supplies for hikers. When no customers arrive, they grow anxious, then decide to go out and greet trekkers themselves.
