What it is
Thin custom shells bonded to the front of teeth to change their color, shape or size, or to close gaps. Porcelain (ceramic) veneers are made in a lab after a small amount of enamel is removed. Composite veneers are built up directly with resin.
Who it’s for
Adults with healthy teeth and gums who want cosmetic changes such as covering chips or discoloration, or closing gaps. The ADA notes veneers may not be a good choice for people who clench or grind their teeth or have a deep overbite.
How it’s done
A shade is chosen and a small amount of enamel is removed from the front and sides. An impression or 3D scan is taken, temporary veneers may be fitted, and the lab-made veneers are then bonded and adjusted.
Why we don’t list a price
- We only show prices we can check in official public statistics, and we couldn’t find one for this treatment.
- Prices vary widely by clinic, area treated, product and amount.
- At the consultation, get the total price, the product and amount (mL or units) and the number of sessions in writing.
Recovery
No real downtime. The change is not reversible because enamel is removed.
Risks and side effects
- Irreversible, because enamel is removed to place veneers
- Chipping, cracking, wear or loosening that needs re-bonding or replacement
- Placing veneers over untreated decay or gum disease can make those problems worse
- Veneers typically need replacing after 5–15 years
- Infection or nerve damage when placed by unlicensed providers

Questions people ask
Are veneers reversible?
No. The ADA says treatment is not reversible because tooth enamel is removed to place a veneer.
How long do veneers last?
Cleveland Clinic gives 5–15 years. A 2025 meta-analysis found survival of roughly 94–97% at about 10 years for common ceramic veneers.
Can veneers be done in one short trip?
Porcelain veneers usually need at least two visits because they are made in a lab. Repairs and adjustments may be harder to arrange after you leave Korea.
